The coach behind
Train With Hoy.

My name is Dylan Hoy, and I have dedicated my life to helping athletes become the best versions of themselves — both on and off the baseball field.
My journey began as a Division I baseball player, where I spent four years as a starting infielder at Marist University before finishing my collegiate career at the University of Louisville. Along the way, I experienced every aspect of the recruiting process, competed at the highest levels of college baseball, and learned firsthand what it takes to succeed in a highly competitive environment. Those experiences shaped not only the player I became, but also the mentor I am today.
Before transitioning into full-time coaching, I served as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Louisville, where our program advanced to the 2025 College World Series. That experience at the highest level of college baseball deepened my understanding of elite player development, preparation, and what it takes to compete on the sport's biggest stage.
For the 2026 season, I served as an Assistant Baseball Coach at Army West Point, where I had the opportunity to work alongside some of the nation's most dedicated student-athletes. During that season, our program set a school record with a .981 fielding percentage and finished 14th in the nation in fielding percentage. Our team also captured the regular season championship, while developing both the Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year at shortstop and our program's Rookie of the Year. Being part of a championship-caliber environment reinforced my belief that success comes from attention to detail, accountability, consistency, and a commitment to excellence every single day.
Today, I am fully invested in the mentorship and player development space. Through Train With Hoy, my mission is to provide athletes with the guidance, structure, and support they need to achieve their dreams of playing baseball at the highest level possible. I believe there is far more to development than simply improving athletic performance. Success is built through discipline, accountability, character, academic excellence, and a commitment to continuous growth.
With more than ten years of experience providing individual and group instruction, I have worked with athletes of all ages and skill levels. My approach combines baseball-specific development, recruiting guidance, strength and performance programming, academic accountability, and personal mentorship into one comprehensive experience designed to help athletes maximize their potential.
What separates Train With Hoy is the commitment to building genuine relationships. I am not interested in providing transactional lessons or short-term fixes. My goal is to become a trusted mentor who helps athletes navigate the challenges of their athletic journey while preparing them for success far beyond the game of baseball.
I understand how life-changing the right coach or mentor can be because I have had those people in my own journey. My commitment is to be that person for the athletes I work with — someone who believes in them, challenges them, holds them accountable, and helps them develop into confident players, strong leaders, and outstanding young men.
At Train With Hoy, the mission is simple: help athletes reach their highest potential, achieve their dreams, and become the best version of themselves in the process.
"Develop. Compete. Dominate."
